Greater Eastern Primary Health Information

Greater Eastern Primary Health (GEPH) has been serving the GP community in the Knox district of outer east Melbourne for 18 years. Knox Division of General Practice Ltd. was established in April 1993 as an initiative of the Federal Department of Health. After a membership survey, the mission was established: To assist General Practitioners in providing improved Health Care to the Community. This was amended in 1999 in its strategic plan: To assist General Practitioners in providing excellent Health Care to the Community. The Knox Division of General Practice was subsequently renamed Greater Eastern Primary Health Ltd. GEPH was subsequently defunded of Government resources and has remained an independent General Practice organisation with a board of management and with its mission unchanged to the present date supporting general practice in the outer eastern region. Greater Eastern Primary Health is a not-for-profit company ensuring health services are locally available and accessible for general practice patients across outer East Melbourne. We are currently organising an Annual General Meeting to present some exciting new developments to our GP members. Please watch out for your invitation.
