Pacific Whale Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1980 to save whales from extinction. Our mission is to protect our oceans through science and advocacy. We are an international organization, with ongoing research studies in Hawaii, Australia, and Ecuador, and are active participants in global efforts to address threats to whales and other marine life. A pioneer in non-invasive whale research, Pacific Whale Foundation was an early leader in educating the public, from a scientific perspective, about whales and the need for ocean conservation. Now celebrating 35 years as a nonprofit organization, Pacific Whale Foundation conducts humpback whale research in Hawaii, Ecuador and Australia as well as studies of odontocetes (dolphins and toothed whales) in Hawaii. Our work has been published in scientific, peer-reviewed journals, as well as in books, reports and informational materials for the public. Pacific Whale Foundation also support studies of blue whales in Chile.

What’s unique to Trilogy is our exclusive permission to enter the Hulopo’e Beach Park and Marine Preserve on the Private Island of Lana‘i—we are the only boat company with this privilege. We also have sunset sails, whale watching, adventure rafting, SCUBA, and land tours of Lana‘i (both Jeep and escorted van tours). Trilogy is also known for their environmental stewardship, being the first boat company to go green by “pumping not dumping”. Trilogy facilitates bi-annual community reef cleanups and was awarded the very prestigious “Living Reef Award” in 2008. Our neighborhood is where we have been snorkeling daily for 30 years and we know every fish, coral and turtle by name. We begin our adventure from the shoreline and work with beginners and long time snorkeling enthusiasts deepening on the individual client's needs. We love Maui and our beautiful reefs.
