Great Lakes Gun Rights (GLGR) takes an uncompromising position on firearms liberty for the citizens of Michigan, refusing to take any position that will compromise or sacrifice any ground in the battle to secure our rights and liberties. While other groups treat your right to carry like a product that can be bought, sold and traded away for something else, GLGR wants to restore our rights to the non-infringed state intended by our founding fathers in the Second Amendment. GLGR is organized as a non-profit, state level affiliate of the National Association for Gun Rights, a 501(c)(4) non-partisan grassroots organization made up of gun owners and lovers of liberty. GLGR does not endorse, support, or oppose any candidate for political office. Instead, GLGR seeks to inform gun owners, citizens, liberty activists and voters on their candidates' positions on firearms. GLGR's mission is to empower citizens with the knowledge they need to hold politicians and elected officials accountable on the issues that matter to them. By reaching out to your state legislators through; petitions, postcards, faxes, phone calls, emails and personal visits; along with contributing, we can take back our individual liberty to defend ourselves without government infringement in the form of permission slips and unconstitutional restrictions that exist today. We invite all citizens of Michiganders who believe in gun rights to join GLGR, and join an ever-growing movement to take back our rights and liberty from the state of Michigan.
