GRAYSCALE ARCHITECTURE, LLC is committed to provide each client with a professional architectural experience derived from a background of over forty years of commercial and residential architectural design. Steven E. Gray, AIA is the Principal of GRAYSCALE ARCHITECTUREand established the firm following his retirement as President and CEO of Savage Ver Ploeg & Associates, Inc. of West Des Moines, IA [dba SVPA Architects Inc.]. Mr. Gray was a member of the SVPA Team for 37 years and participated in a variety of commercial and residential projects in Iowa and several other states including Colorado, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Nebraska, and Illinois. He currently holds professional architectural registrations in Iowa, Nebraska, and Illinois. Gray holds an NCARB certification and is a member of both the national American Institute of Architects and the Iowa Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). He graduated with a BA in architecture from Iowa State University and also has a Master of Architecture from Iowa State. Gray has extensive experience in interior design and is a certified interior designer. Prior to joining SVPA Architects Gray was a limited partner with Ray Crites, FAIA (Ames Design Collaborative) focusing on projects of custom residential design.
