Gratec was founded by a small group of principals in response to increased requests for highly-engineered design/build services on several custom, high-span curtainwall projects. Those colleagues brought experience in the glazing industry, a background in the engineering investigation of building failures, and familiarity with product development and testing. Today, those founders continue to be hands-on and steadfast in the belief that ultimately, a company succeeds by what it brings to its customers . Gratec utilizes state of the art tools required for modeling and analyzing your system, including research and testing for development of better means and methods. At times, that means design and production of custom hardware. It's true, however, that quite often the form of the system can be maintained, and the value increased, by competent application of standard components.
