We are the UK’s fourth largest food retailer with over 400 stores. Our business is mainly food and grocery – the weekly shop. Uniquely we source and process most of the fresh food that we sell though our own manufacturing facilities, giving us close control over provenance and quality; and we have more people preparing more food in store than any other retailer. Every week nine million customers pass through our doors and 132,000 colleagues across the business work hard each day to deliver great service to them. With competitive prices and hundreds of special offers, we are proud to save our customers money every day.

Nestled on the bank of the River Derwent among the breathtaking valleys and fells of the Lake District, we design opulent whisky, rich with layers of flavour and complexity. Built meticulously in a 160-year-old farm on the banks for the River Derwent, our award-winning distillery offers visitors 'behind the scenes' tours of our state-of-the-art distillery and tastings of our collection of spirits. The first English distillery to win the coveted title “World’s Best Single Malt Whisky” at the World Whiskies Awards, our modern approach places flavour creation at the heart of everything we do. From sacrificing efficiency in return for a spirit that delivers a distinctive long buttercream mouthfeel, The Lakes Distillery prides itself on pushing boundaries and challenging traditional conventions.
