Most of my life's work has been in the area of education and helping our children become more successful students, people and citizens. I am very passionate about this work and that is why you will find that this website is focused on helping K-12 teachers and schools. My background as a high school teacher, President of the Southern Scholarship Foundation, Director of Grants Development for the Florida Department of Education, Executive Director of the Foundation for Florida's Community College System and current work as the Executive Director of the National Work Readiness Council has made me keenly aware of the tremendous challenges that exist in K-12 education.
