Founded in 1873, the Bismarck Tribune is a print and digital news organization based in Bismarck, N.D. It is the official newspaper of the state of North Dakota, county of Burleigh and city of Bismarck. The Tribune is owned by Lee Enterprises and is a member of the Associated Press.

The Forum of Fargo Moorhead began in 1878, was purchased in 1917, by Norman B. Black, and is currently owned and operated by the Marcil-Black family. Bill Marcil Jr. is InForum's publisher and Forum Communications Company's CEO. He is the fifth generation of his family to be the publisher of The Forum of Fargo Moorhead.
