WHO WE ARE GRAIN COMPASS kft. is a vessel operating company established in Hungary in 2019 with the aim of serving global freight needs within the dry bulk sector. Despite its relatively recent market entry, our company is already involved in active fixing and continuously growing credibility among industry’s key players thanks to our team of professionals, all with strong shipping backgrounds, networks and experiences. WHAT WE DO Our activity profile includes provision of highly qualified logistical services worldwide on Handy to post-Panamax vessels for both in-house and 3rd party cargoes not limited to grains but also embracing a diverse list of commodities such as steels, fertilizers, iron and nickel ores, coal etc. Aside from spot shipments GRAINCOM Shipping KS maintains a portfolio of forward bookings allowing us to develop cost efficient cargo combinations. Risk management is an integral part of our company’s activity and any potential exposure is being monitored and analyzed on a daily basis. The chartering team uses the instrument of bunker swaps to hedge potential exposure of physical contracts. We trade only ascertained contracts via clearing accounts or via solvent bunker traders.
