GradFunding Information

GradFunding is an independent organisation dedicated to postgraduate funding from charities. We publish The Alternative Guide to Postgraduate Funding which is available now as a web resource! It's also available in printed, CD, and PDF form. The Alternative Guide is the most popular postgraduate funding resource in the UK, and is licensed at 100 universities in the UK in the 8 years we've been publishing. We've also won two major academic prizes, and been featured in The Guardian, Sky News, The Independent, Vitae, FindaPhD.com, and in GradBritain. We sell subscriptions of the Alternative Guide to individual users, and license it centrally to universities. We have 100 university subscribers, and this number is increasing all the time. If there's one thing we're proud of, it's that the Alternative Guide is a grassroots publication. Its written and published by real postgraduate students who overcame the challenge of unfunded postgraduate study- not by paid researchers who haven't. We continue to work directly with thousands of postgraduates of all backgrounds, subjects, and nationalities - ensuring that we stay close to the group who really matter: the students. We also facilitate three-hour training workshops titled 'Postgraduate Funding: considering the Alternatives', for groups of up to 30, at universities.
