Faith in Action, formerly known as PICO National Network, is a national network of faith-based community organizations working to create innovative solutions to problems facing urban, suburban and rural communities. Since 1972, Faith in Action has successfully worked to increase access to health care, improve public schools, make neighborhoods safer, build affordable housing, redevelop communities and revitalize democracy. Today, Faith in Action has 44 affiliated federations and 8 statewide networks working in 150 cities and towns and 17 states. More than one million families and one thousand congregations from 40 different denominations and faiths participate in Faith in Action. Together we are lifting up a new vision for America that unites people across region, race, class, and religion.

Beacon of Hope is a nonprofit organization focused on empowering youth to reach their full potential so they craft the lives they want for themselves and be drivers of change in their communities. Our holistic approach centers on education, emotional intelligence and community development.

Sunrise Center is dedicated to supporting the California Ballot initiative to require mandatory labeling of GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) foods. Because this is a California Ballot Initiative, we need in-person, physical signatures. We cannot gather online and have until April 22nd to gather 800,000 signatures to get this on the 2012 California Ballot. You can come in to our office Monday through Friday, 10:30 am to 6:30 pm to add your signature to this landmark ballot initiative. The Institute for American Democracy and Elections Integrity is responsible for issuing awards every other year to election supervisors and possibly Secretaries of State for Innovative Work in the Field of Election Integrity.
