Grace and Bread exists to show grace and share bread – serving our neighbors in practical ways and pointing people toward the love of Jesus. Every Wednesday night, our team gathers to pray, plan, and go out together into The Heights, Nutbush, and Jackson Park in Memphis, sharing a meal, conversation, and prayer with neighbors living on the street. Our vision is to build relationships, restore the broken, and support change while sharing the love of God with others. Grace and Bread began in December 2022 as a risky and spontaneous adventure by a few people who wanted to help their neighbors on the street. Co-founders Michael Karel and Ryan Parish first met in 2017 while serving the same community with another nonprofit, and have worked together in outreach ever since.
