Just Desserts, an award-winning bakery, was founded in San Francisco in 1974 with a passion for making the most delicious, highest quality desserts. We are passionate about baking from scratch and producing the highest quallity, premium desserts and sweet snacks.
The company began its journey in 2008 with one small store. Fast forward to 2024 and we now have 230+ stores nationwide, with many more planned!
Here at Cake Box we like to think of each other as family, and our success is because we’ve held on to those values and extended the circle to include our customers. To us the customer is not just somebody who simply buys a cake, we make a cake for somebody’s special occasion. We know that we’re being allowed into that person’s family, via our cake! That’s why each cake is baked and decorated as if it’s a member of one of our families.
We pride ourselves in using the finest quality ingredients, and taking the upmost care in the production of our cakes. It is a great honour for us to share our customers’ most important occasions, and we pride ourselves in delivering first-rate customer service as well as delicious and beautiful cakes.
All of our products are 100% egg free. The founders of Cake Box follow a strict lacto-vegetarian diet, and that’s how the idea developed for the business. While all of our cakes and products are egg free, you really can’t taste the difference, meaning it’s a safe choice for any party where you’re not sure if guests have egg allergies.
Bakery On Main's story started in the small bakery of a natural foods market on Main Street in Glastonbury, Connecticut. Founder Michael Smulders listened when his customers with Celiac Disease would mention the lack of good tasting, gluten-free options available to them. Upon learning this, he believed that nobody should have to suffer due to any kind of food allergy or dietary need. From then on, his mission became creating delicious and fearlessly unique gluten-free products that were clean and great tasting, while still being safe for his Celiac customers!
Audaciously premium ingredients, bakeshop delicious recipes, and happy customers were our inspiration from the beginning— and are still the cornerstones of Bakery On Main today. We are a fiercely ethical company that believes in integrity and feels that happiness and premium, good food should be harmonious. We strive for that in everything we bake. Our new 111,000 sq. ft. facility is a dedicated gluten-free facility that is GFCO Certified and SQF Level 3 Certified. We use only natural, NON-GMO Project Verified ingredients, all of our products are certified Kosher Parve, dairy and casein free, and we have recently introduced Organic lines of products as well!
