The COVID-19 pandemic has rapidly and drastically changed our lives. Yet, the world still turns, people and communities start to get back to work, babies are born, children and young adults continue their studies. We are social beings and long for human contact. We also need to make informed decisions, and to do so we need data about our health and the health of our communities. There is conflicting information about what it all means, how many have been infected, how many have died or the chance of death from exposure, how to protect yourself and loved ones from contracting the disease or spreading it, and how best to keep healthy. Testing of the general population for exposure to COVID-19 is now more widely available. Not only will it calm our fears of the unknown, but it will help scientists, researchers, doctors, and health officials understand this novel coronavirus, and help direct resources and detect outbreaks across our communities. Along with our partners, we want to help people get access to testing, spread awareness, and reduce general fear of the unknown, and keep our loved ones and communities happy and safe.
