Most scientific papers are reviewed. Their numbers are rarely rerun. Good Science is building DeepDive, software that checks whether a paper’s conclusions are actually supported by its data. DeepDive identifies the hypotheses, claims, methods, and statistical analyses in a manuscript, then maps each claim to its supporting evidence. When the underlying data are available, it reruns the analyses and checks whether the results hold. It flags statistical errors, unsupported conclusions, likely reviewer concerns, and the experiments needed to strengthen the work. Authors catch problems before submission. Editors triage manuscripts faster. Reviewers focus their time where scientific judgment matters most. DeepDive is in beta and first 2 manuscripts are free for researchers and reviewers.
