Golden Slipper Information

Through a variety of philanthropic endeavors, Golden Slipper Club & Charities fosters an atmosphere of giving and friendship. We boast about our "hands-on" approach, and it's true. Our members give from their hearts - financially, through their expertise, their time, and their teamwork - to help the organization raise money to fund a children's camp, a college scholarship fund, a center for senior citizens, and many other initiatives. In 1922, a group of Jewish Masons gathered regularly to socialize and play cards. They'd divide up their winnings and distribute them to families in need of money for food, coal, and other essentials. These selfless acts of kindness are the roots and the inspiration of Golden Slipper Club & Charities, now nearly 1,000 members strong. Today the tradition continues. Golden Slipper continually finds ways to serve young and old. Operated almost exclusively by members and volunteers, Golden Slipper Club takes pride in serving the Greater Philadelphia region. Our philanthropic efforts include: ◦ Operating Golden Slipper Camp ◦ The Golden Slipper Center for Seniors ◦ A Scholarship Fund for college students ◦ The Human Needs and Services Committee (HUNAS)
