Kordsa, reshaping the industry with its “The Reinforcer” position and its strong innovative approach, has entered new business fields and has implemented its tire reinforcement know-how into construction reinforcement and composite reinforcement industries.
Kordsa, the leader of the reinforcement technologies, has established the Composite Technologies Center of Excellence in Technopark Istanbul in 2014. The center became active in 2016 in cooperation with Sabancı University. In this center, lecturers of Sabancı University, PhD students and Kordsa employees will be working under the same roof. In this cooperative model, which will be a pioneer in Turkey, Kordsa implements and conducts the “open innovation” concept.
Currently, over 5000 global employees of Kordsa work to deliver reinforcement technologies to the world.
Erdemir, the main company of the OYAK Mining Metallurgy and one of the most valuable industrial assets of Turkey, was established in 1960 under a special law, in order to be the first domestic producer of flat steel, which the Turkish industry necessitates at that time. Erdemir produces plates, hot and cold rolled, tin, chromium and zinc coated flat steel and supplies basic inputs to automotive, white goods, pipes and tubes, rolling, manufacturing, electrics-electronics, mechanical engineering, energy, heating equipment, shipbuilding, defense, and packaging industries.
Tekfen Tarımsal Sanayi Grubu’nun çatı şirketi olan Toros Tarım, faaliyetlerini mineral gübrelerin yanı sıra suda eriyebilen özel gübreler ve organik/organomineral gübre konularında sürdürmektedir. Klasik gübrelerde Türkiye’deki toplam kurulu üretim kapasitesinin %38’ini elinde bulunduran Toros Tarım, üretim ve pazar payı itibarıyla sektörünün en büyük kuruluşudur. Şirket, İstanbul Sanayi Odası’nın açıkladığı Türkiye’nin 500 Büyük Sanayi Kuruluşu 2020 listesinde 56’ncı sırada yer almaktadır. The roof company of the Tekfen Agri-Industry Group, Toros Tarım produces mineral fertilisers, specialty water-soluble fertilisers, and organic/organo-mineral fertilisers. Toros Tarım holds 38% of the total installed capacity of classical fertiliser production in Turkey and is the largest company in the industry in terms of production and market share. The company ranks 56th on the “Turkey’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises in 2020” list published by the İstanbul Chamber of Industry. Within the scope of mineral fertiliser operations, the company produces fertilisers in its three factories in Ceyhan, Mersin and Samsun, as well as inhibitor-added and water-soluble fertilisers at its Mersin facility. Toros Agri is also one of the main players in the organic and organo-mineral fertiliser market owing to its two investments in Gönen and Meram. The R&D Centre established in 2017 is Turkey’s first R&D centre in plant nutrition.
