Go Audio Visual was founded in 1998 by the current managing director Barry Rimmer. The journey started when he witnessed the first ever 42” plasma screen in the UK. Shortly after, installing the first one in the ‘new’ Heathrow terminal 4, with digital media player, to become their first ever digital signage and advertising screen. Following this, screens were installed in Harrods windows, the Eurotunnel terminal in Dover as well as many major shopping centres across the UK. Furthermore, prestigious installations in Government Ministers offices, Premier League football grounds and training facilities as well as more recently offices in the Shard have been undertaken for equipment distributors and resellers. Other large contracts undertaken include the BECTA rollout in the 2000’s and one of the largest single order projects undertaken involving the installation of over 300 interactive screens. Modern day operations have broadened and diversified to match the dynamic Audio Visual market. Currently supplying a full suite of pre and post-sales support services to some of the largest AV equipment manufacturers in the world, supplying support services to their UK teams with installation, loan & demo equipment management, on-site warranty work, first line tech support and equipment repairs. Go AV now operates from a total of nearly 20,000sq ft facility which includes a modern warehouse offering secure warehouse storage and logistics for new sales stock and equipment, with the latest addition being a state of the art clean room facility to undertake equipment repairs and product testing.
