The Global Women's Health Initiative is the first Women's Health Physical Therapy organization of its kind. It was formed with the mission of helping women in need of PT services for diagnoses ranging from fistula and prolapse to pre and post-natal care. The goal of the organization is to help provide support for developing Physical Therapy services within this population for the future health care and protection of women in need worldwide. In this way, GWHI hopes to address the lack of healthcare rehabilitation that is not available in the world on a global and even a local region.
