Global Startups supports technology founders from pre-seed through international expansion. We help companies prepare for investment, expand into new markets, and move forward with a clear, structured strategy. Since 2016, we have supported over 340 startups building in Canada and expanding internationally. Originally launched as LatAm Startups, the organization evolved into Global Startups to reflect a broader community of founders from emerging markets. Many of the founders we work with are building their second or third venture. Our approach is practical and execution-focused, centered on real priorities such as revenue growth, partnerships, and market positioning. We collaborate with federal, provincial, and local ecosystem partners while maintaining an independent model. Global Startups is a non-profit corporation, reinvesting program revenue into operations and program capacity. Our strongest sectors include AgTech, Biotech, CleanTech, and FoodTech, aligned with current market demand and investment activity. In 2024, GSA Ventures launched as a sister company, raising a $2.5M fund to invest in companies emerging from our community. Today, our network reflects a global founder base: 52% of founders come from Latin American backgrounds, and 27% of our companies are led by women.
