GEC is a non-profit NGO, established in 1998 to address key environmental issues. GEC is based in Malaysia and supports activities worldwide. We are focused on bringing together all parties—individuals, communities, corporations and other like-minded organizations—to help foster lasting change for environmental benefits. This year (2023), GEC is celebrating its 25 years anniversary working on environmental issues of global importance. The ultimate dream of GEC is to be able to play an integral role in shaping the future and delivering a future that will sustain. We're passionate not only about what we do, but how we do it! Our 4 core programmes are: Forest and Coastal, Peatland, River Care and Outreach and Partnership. Our mission: To safeguard the environment and promote sustainable management of resources to meet the local, regional and global needs through smart partnerships with communities and like-minded organisations.
