Our founder, Andrew Shepherd, late husband to Co-founder and now CEO Sharon Shepherd, established Omega Diagnostics plc in 1987 to serve the human IVD market through a network of international distributors in 110 countries. Andrew dedicated his life to the industry, working as a consultant for WHO, CHAI, MSF and a volunteer for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, being a renowned authority on TB, malaria and HIV. Omega Diagnostics plc was awarded the Queen's Award for Exports, presented by HM the late Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.
