Global Cycle Solutions (GCS) Information

Despite the rapid growth in technology over the past century, much of this innovation has not been adopted by or even reached the over 500 million smallholder farmers and rural villagers worldwide living on less than $1/day. Global Cycle Solutions (GCS) has a two-fold mission of development and dissemination of affordable, accessible, and appropriate technologies for local villagers. We have established an innovative distribution network. We bring the product directly to the village by hiring, training, and supporting vetted, trusted members of the community as GCS entrepreneurs who disseminate our products to the areas they know and love. Not only have we created a viable business model that organically fuels itself but we have also put into place a ripple effect where our team of entrepreneurs uses their additional income from commissions and newly learned transferable skills to improve their communities. We support a variety of products in our portfolio: ranging from solar lighting and mobile phone charging to clean cookstoves. Al of our products are chosen specifically for our risk-averse market, and every product earns back the investment within months. In the next three years we hope to serve the 5 million people living on less than $2/day in Tanzania.
