Global Access Project Information

The Global Access Project (GAP) is a comparative analysis of global access to COVID-19 vaccines for refugee populations. In light of calls for international cooperation to ensure equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines for refugees, this project features a minimum of ten country case studies written by University of Toronto students which analyze vaccine strategies and distribution efforts globally. Specifically, this project examines the depths and limitations of refugee access to COVID-19 vaccines at the policy, technical, and operational level in order to highlight important lessons from countries around the world. The aim of this project is a clearer identification of the priorities and barriers related to refugee vaccine access with the intention to improve global vaccine equity. The GAP is funded by the U of T Student Engagement Award and led by students at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, Temetry Faculty of Medicine, and the University of Oxford Centre for Criminology.
