BACS breaks the mental health, housing, and community barriers that hold people back. We are helping people experiencing mental health needs or housing crises, while balancing other complications like health needs, substance use, generational trauma, incarceration, poverty, and more.
BACS does “whatever it takes” to create programs that meet community needs, integrating nearly seven decades of behavioral health expertise with our Housing First philosophy.

Since 1984, Larkin Street Youth Services has been the largest nonprofit provider of services to youth at risk of or experiencing homelessness in the Bay Area. We’ve supported over 80,000 young people ages 12 to 24
—and 3 out of 4 who access our comprehensive programs exit to safe and stable housing.
Our continuum of care spans outreach, shelter, housing, health, wellness, education and employment.
