MRD is a founding member of the Women's Flat Track Roller Derby Association (WFTDA) and has been bringing athletic training, community building, and fabulous entertainment to south-central Wisconsin since 2004. The league is made up of 200+ member volunteers over 4 home teams, 2 travel teams, a recreational team, on-skates and non-skating officials, support members, and a juniors program. They currently hold regular season games at the Alliant Energy Center between January and May, and host an invitational tournament ("Udder Chaos") in the spring at Hartmeyer Ice Arena. Seattle Derby Brats is the premiere Seattle-area junior roller derby league for girls ages 8-18. We strive to create a safe, fun, and positive environment where girls can be athletic, increase their self-confidence, obtain new friendships, and be both self-empowered & self-expressive. This is where girls learn teamwork, good values, discipline, confidence, interaction, and stewardship through the competitive sport of Northwest Competitive Flat Track Junior Roller Derby.
