Gladstone Primary School Information

Gladstone High School is a small country High School in the Mid North of South Australia. Enrolments are currently approximately 140 students (year 8-12) drawn from a large rural area including the communities of: Redhill, Merriton, Narridy, Georgetown, Gladstone, Yacka, Wirrabara, Appila, Stone Hut, Crystal Brook, Gulnare and Laura. Gladstone High School is continuing to move ahead in providing the right education for every student. Here we pursue excellence in all areas of a student's development, academically, socially, culturally and physically. Gladstone High School has a proud academic, sporting and agricultural history, characterised by progressive approaches to teaching and learning. Our approach to learning involves the availability of an extensive curriculum to allow all students to develop their unique talents and interests. We work with every young person to develop a strong career pathway that will enable them to proudly take their place in our global society. With engaged student leaders, a vibrant and active Governing Council and skilled staff we are committed to maintaining excellent communication channels between the school and families, which is enabling our whole school community to move forward together. We provide a safe and supportive environment that promotes mutual respect and tolerance for others, self-confidence, responsible decision making and acknowledges and celebrates personal and team achievement. Gladstone High School has full access to and take bookings for the Southern Flinders Regional Sporting Complex built in Gladstone. Lessons are taken in the adjoined classroom and PE has full use of courts and change rooms.
