GITIA was originally created under the name of “Centro de Investigación en Tecnologías Avanzadas de Tucumán” on 2008 in order to promote and apply recent research works on advanced technologies to different of domains. On 2012, the UTN recognized our efforts and approved the creation of our group under the name of Grupo de Investigación en Tecnologías Informáticas Avanzadas (GITIA) - Res. CSU Nº 1397/12. Our main application areas cover collaborative work, decision-helping tools, distributed problem solving and industrial applications of Artificial Intelligence.
