GiGi Importing's founder, Tarcisio Vanacore has been in the food business his entire life. Born near Naples in the town of Vico Equense, Tarcisio grew up working at the Vanacore local grocery store. By 25 Tarcisio opened a store of his own, and at 29 came to Canada equipped with a vast knowledge, experience and passion for Italian food. For close to 35 years, Tarcisio has used this knowledge & passion in his careful selection of only fine Italian quality food products. This commitment to quality is also reflected in Tarcisio's son Flavio, GiGi's Manager of Operations. Flavio has been an integral part of GiGi's focus on customer and supplier relationships and continues to be deeply involved with all aspects of the business.
