Giftin was created for one purpose - making it easy to buy and give great gifts. We were tired of the stress and frustration that comes with finding the perfect gift. The parking, the crowds, having to walk from shop to shop to look for the 1 or 2 items from that shop that may be right for your gift recipient, all obstacles in the way of giving a good gift without losing your mind - especially at times like Christmas. We looked around and all we saw were gift suggestion sites where their main purpose was selling you items they make the most money on from online retailers you have never heard of. They also wanted us to create an account, log in, and provide other personal data. Hardly a scenario that made us feel comfortable with using those sites. Recognizing the need for an unbiased, safe, intuitive, and easy gift-searching engine, the Giftin team set to work building something special. We recognized that key word searches were of limited use since they didn’t take into account the human element. Understanding the nature of the relationship between the gift giver/recipient and the occasion were also key. And on top of that - we did not just want any old thing in a category - we wanted good items with great customer reviews that good shoppers and good gift givers also felt were great gifts. We brought together a team and gave them only one directive - Find great gifts! That was still not enough for us. So we built Giftin to evolve and keep getting better every day. Each day we refine our system, learn from the trends of the day before and routinely source, categorize, and add more great gifts.
