Founded in 2005, Giambattista Valli Paris is a France-based Maison electrified by contrast. Starting by launching its ready-to-wear collection performing elegance and femininity, a few years later designer Giambattista Valli launches his talent in the Haute Couture art culture, becoming the first non-French stylist who granted membership into the historic Chambre Syndicate de la Haute Couture. Known for his signature silhouette: a unique sophisticated work on fabrics but sharp and light body fit, Mr. Valli inspiration comes from his rooted duality. As a Roman in Paris, the Fashion House combines the disproportions and indolence of the « Città Eterna » with the free spirit, the liberating frivolity and the lightness silhouettes of the Ville Lumière. These traits intertwine like DNA filaments in Giambattista Valli Paris, generating incredibly polyvalent masterpieces. Today, the Maison expresses spontaneity and sophistication offering effortlessly extra-ordinary looks embedded in the now. Tulle signature fabric, flowers silk print, embroideries, macramé pieces, tweed and bows are just some of the collections’ peculiarities, created with the love and attention to detail of the Parisian Studio and Atelier's craftsmen. “My work is a mix of strictness and frivolity meant to glorify the beauty of women. On the one side, it is unremittingly sharp, just like a line traced in pencil; on the other it is fervent and frilly, like a flower bouquet or a bunch of feathers. I aim at creating a distinctive, memorable silhouette. Decoration is fickle”.
