Founded in 1999 by Giaffone family, one of the most traditional families in Brazilian motorsport, JL Racing Products is the biggest Brazilian company in the motorsport industry. Backing in 1989, JL roots came from go-karting, when Zeca Giaffone father started to develop go-karts in Brazil. In 1999 JL was founded from the base of the go-karting workshop to be the Brazilian Stock Car chassis manufacturer and race engine renter company. Today it is the official supplier of three Brazilian national championships and sporadically works as service supplier of other series.
