GHODWA is a portfolio company based in Durham, North Carolina, founded and led by Anna Bullock. The name comes from the Arabic word غدوة. Depending on who you ask, it means tomorrow, daybreak, or nothing at all. We think that range is the point. Anna first heard it from her son, who picked it up from his friend at the deli and started saying it himself, a small word for the first move of the day, said before anything had happened yet. It stuck. A company built to hold many tomorrows needed a name that meant exactly that. Ghodwa, LLC operates a family of brands spanning operations consulting, creative services, media, and ventures in development. Each brand runs on its own terms with its own audience. What they share is the house they live in: one operating standard, one ethos, and a founder who believes the best businesses are built with care that compounds. Rooted in North Carolina.
