The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) strives to protect the American Dream of housing opportunities for all, while working to achieve professional success for its members who build communities, create jobs and strengthen our economy.
Each year, NAHB members construct about 80% of the new homes built in the United States.
A federation of more than 700 state and local associations, NAHB represents more than 140,000 builder, remodeler, specialty trade, sales and marketing, design, housing finance, and building supply/manufacturing members.
Since its inception in the early 1940s, NAHB has served as “the voice of America’s housing industry.” Its primary goals are to ensure that housing is a national priority and that all Americans have access to safe, decent and affordable housing, whether they choose to buy a home or rent.
NAHB’s Annual Convention and Exposition, the International Builders’ Show (IBS - BuildersShow.com), is the largest annual event for the residential and light commercial construction industry.
The Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) is the statewide trade association representing Florida’s residential construction industry. Our members include home builders, developers, remodelers, and the professionals who support them—working together to strengthen Florida’s housing market and protect housing affordability.
FHBA advocates on behalf of the industry before the Florida Legislature, regulatory agencies, and state leaders to promote smart growth, regulatory certainty, and policies that allow builders to meet the housing needs of Florida’s growing population.
Beyond advocacy, FHBA delivers value through education, workforce development, professional recognition, and meaningful connections at both the state and local level. Through our network of 23 local home builders associations, we ensure members have a strong voice and access to resources wherever they do business in Florida.
The mission of the FHBA is to create a business climate in which the construction industry can prosper.
