Ghai Management Information

Ghai Management owns, operates, and develops quick-service restaurants across California, Oregon, and Texas. The company was founded in 1999 by Sunny Ghai, who purchased his first Burger King in San Jose, California, and built the business through new restaurant development and select acquisitions. In 2007, his son Harsh Ghai joined the company after graduating from San José State University, and the two have since grown the portfolio into a diversified, multi-brand platform. Today, Ghai Management operates approximately 260 restaurants, including Burger King, Taco Bell, and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen locations, with a complementary commercial real estate business developing and ground-leasing drive-thru properties. The company has grown primarily through traditional debt financing and reinvested capital, and has been recognized as Burger King’s Global Franchisee of the Year (2019) and North America Franchisee of the Year (2023). Ghai Management remains a family-run business at its core, with a continued focus on operational excellence, team development, and long-term growth within the brands it operates.
