Sweet Custom Jewelry is owned and managed by husband and wife, Bob and Alissa Sweet. Bob grew up in DeWitt, MI and Alissa grew up in Okemos, MI. They met at a local jewelry store who employed them both. After quite a few years working side by side, becoming the stores "custom experts" and, along the way, close friends, Bob decided to ask Alissa on their first date. Both of their lives were changed forever and after about one and a half years together, Bob asked Alissa to be his wife. She launched their Sweet Custom Jewelry Facebook page a few months later and orders began pouring in. After their wedding in October 2014, Bob and Alissa decided they wanted to open their own retail location and began searching for the perfect spot. Old Town, Lansing, seemed to call to them. They loved the homey feeling they both felt when they arrived and they knew that they had the perfect location.
