Armed with nothing more than a borrowed offset pit, Google and a drive to be the best, Gettin' Basted jumped into the world of competition BBQ with both feet by entering Rock'N Ribs in Springfield, Missouri! We punched out ticket to the World Food Championships in Las Vegas for our potato salad and finished 7th overall out of over 70 teams. We scored our first category win by beating 63 other teams and taking home the top prize for our ribs at Roots'n Blues'n BBQ in Columbia, MO! One year after our first event, we took home the top prize by beating 67 other teams at the Rock'N Ribs BBQ Festival in Springfield, Missouri! Our Grand Championship winning performance included a perfect score in chicken. 2015 saw us finish on top of the world in chicken and 2nd in brisket! The first Gettin' Basted food trailer opens for business! Our brand of championship Ozark's BBQ is made available to the public in Springfield, Missouri. Gettin' Basted opens in Branson, Missouri!
