Getaboard Foundation Information

Getaboard uses skateboarding, surfing, and art as a vehicle for self discovery and interactive education for underpriveleged children. Funds raised go toward providing scholarships to local workshops, clinics, and educational outings that inspire curiosity, academic success and future career paths. Every 26 seconds a local child decides to drop out of high school. Each high school dropout costs the local community approximately $340,000.00 per child throughout their lifetime due to welfare dependency and health care needs. Our mission is to fight the high school drop out rate, juvenile delinquency and childhood obesity while helping increase academic performance and potential career opportunities through skateboarding and surfing.
