GESCI was founded in 2003 by the UN ICT Task Force. GESCI supports the development of the capacity of developing countries to use and integrate ICT in teaching, learning, research, innovation, and training administration for the creation of A Knowledge Society for All. GESCI is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Finland, Sida, Irish Aid and SDC.
