The German Volleyball Federation (DVV) is the leading organization of the volleyball sport in Germany. The DVV has the authority and responsibility for organizing all German competitions as well as international competitions with German host cities in Volleyball and Beach Volleyball. The headquarters are located in Frankfurt, Germany. The DVV is a member of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the European Volleyball Federation (CEV) and the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB). The main duties of the DVV are: a) the physical education of the players and female players summarised by its members to promote in particular of the youth, b) to promote the volleyball in all its manifestations (general play company, popular sport and leisure sport, serious sport and top-class sport, beach volleyball etc.), c) to represent the volleyball sport in Germany and abroad and to perceive its interests towards of the FIVB, the CEV, to the DOSB, further sporty institutions, the public institutions places and the national trade associations. The German Volleyball Sport GmbH (DVS) is the exclusive marketing and services agency of the DVV. The major tasks of the DVS are a marketing, public relations and event management for Volleyball and Beach Volleyball, its national teams and the federation.
