GMS aims to support site-based geotechnical engineering and geology departments through the supply of high-quality instrumentation and auxiliary geotechnical/geological services. Our focus is working with our valued clients to provide suitable field staff, independent QAQC programs and specialised services, tailored to the needs of your operation and business. GMS field services can assist with geotechnical core logging, drill rig supervision, geological/lithological core logging, drill core technician duties (mark-up, orientation, photography, core cutting, etc.), field technician duties (sampling, assisting with drill pad preparation, assistance with geophysical surveys, etc.) point load testing, sample selection and ability to conduct a full suite of rock property testing to suit your requirements. GMS can also complete offsite photo logging to fill data gaps and complete QA/QC of geotechnical logging data. Rig-side core logging can be conducted in remote locations using the GMS temperature controlled transportable logging container. Our Mine Services team provide support to site-based geotechnical engineers with auxiliary tasks that can get overlooked or pushed aside due to workloads or limited staff availability. GMS can assist your personnel by improving your site processes and providing the right kind of geotechnical functions required for your mine. Available for both short and long-term secondments, our mine services team specialise in ground support QAQC, supply and installation of geotechnical instrumentation and geotechnical core logging.
