The GASSP Board of Directors has placed a GASSP Constitution amendment on the table for vote at the November business meeting. The amendment would change the term of office for President, President-Elect, and Second Vice President to ONE year rather than the current two years. The mobility of secondary school principals is such that it is unreasonable for individuals to make an eight year commitment to being a GASSP officer in the times that we currently face. GASSP has entered into a significant partnership with Lifetouch, the school portrait and yearbook vendor. As a result of the partnership, GASSP will be able to significantly increase the number of scholarships offered each year to GASSP member children graduating from high school. Beginning in 2011 the scholarships will be named the GASSP Lifetouch Scholarships. GASSP is proud of its long relationship with Lifetouch that has blossomed into a partnership that will greatly benefit the membership of GASSP.
