Our vision is inspired by concepts from computer science and engineering. Over the past decade we have developed technologies to write DNA sequences like software, use genetic design to drive fabrication strategies, and embed critical information in plasmid sequences to secure the exchange of valuable genetic constructs. We strive for clean plasmid designs, generating well-structured data that can inform the next round of experiments. To this end, we design plasmids from the ground up using a principled set of rules rather than deriving new plasmids from existing ones by trial and error. Our holistic approach to design balances parameters to optimize product performance, accelerate product development, and maximize the odds of project success. Beyond client projects, our internal research focuses on developing a new generation of genetic tools that streamline the transition from product discovery to manufacturing. Our mission is to allow scientists and researchers to focus on their core scientific expertise and make groundbreaking discoveries by relieving them from the burden of cloning, primer design, or plasmid purification. We provide the plasmids they need through services spanning the entire life cycle, from design and construction to purification and distribution.
