Excel Academy was founded in 2003 with the mission to provide a high-quality education to students in East Boston and Chelsea Massachusetts, communities that are predominantly low-income and Latinx and historically have faced significant social and educational barriers. Our success in Massachusetts is proof that the opportunity gap can be closed. At Excel Academy Charter Schools, we believe that when a student has the support and tools to pursue a productive post-secondary pathway aligned to their personal identity and values, it can fundamentally change their life trajectory. Over the years, we have grown from one middle school to a network of four schools with 1,400 students in grades 5 to 12. In the fall of 2022, we welcomed a founding class of 5th graders to help us launch Excel Academy Rhode Island. By 2032, Excel Rhode Island will run 4 schools serving over 2,100 students from Providence, Central Falls, and North Providence. We present our students with educational experiences that allow them to grow and discover their best selves so that when they leave our halls, they can successfully navigate all of the post-secondary options available to them. At Excel Academy we learn from our students, families, and staff and make improvements. We have increasingly adapted to provide a holistic education that values our community as collaborators in the learning process, social-emotional support, equity for diverse learners, and fosters identity development. The North Carolina Partnership for Children is the state-level, nonprofit organization that oversees North Carolina's innovative, award-winning Smart Start initiative. It administers funding to 75 local partnerships that operate as independent nonprofit organizations. Each local partnership is responsible for its own hiring process. Smart Start's mission: Advance a high quality, comprehensive, accountable early childhood system that benefits each child in North Carolina beginning with a healthy birth. Smart Start's vision: Each child reaches their potential and is prepared for school and life success in North Carolina and a global community. Experiences during early childhood literally shape the structure of the brain. Because today's children are tomorrow's leaders, parents and workers, everyone has a stake in making sure that all children have the experiences they need to thrive. Smart Start brings together all the people involved in a young child's life - families, teachers, doctors, caregivers, social workers, and many others - to ensure every child has all they need for healthy growth and development

Trail Blazers programs fulfill the mission of guiding young people in developing values and skills essential for productive citizenship through nature and the outdoors. We are an award winning nonprofit that has impacted the lives of thousands of young people from New York and New Jersey since our inception in 1887. Our programs take place on our beautiful 1000 acre estate in Sussex County, New Jersey, and in schools and communities throughout New York City. From sleep-away and day camp adventures, after-school programs, youth leadership development, and conference/trip hosting, Trail Blazers offers something for everyone.
