General Sense (fka Canaery) is building the chemical intelligence layer for AI. By decoding biological olfaction — reading the olfactory processing of the most sensitive chemical sensor ever evolved — General Sense captures real-time molecular data at sensitivities no man-made instrument can match, starting with security and defense applications where detection dogs are already deployed but unable to scale. The long-term mission is to build a sensory reasoning model that gives AI a generalizable understanding of the chemical world — extending intelligence beyond human perception to protect society, public health, and national security.
