General Kinetics Information

General Kinetics is a designer and manufacturer of suspension equipment, primarily for heavy ground vehicles. We make suspension dampers, hydrostruts, and Active Shock (TM) semi-active systems. General Kinetics was founded in 1981 to provide properly engineered commercial suspension components, designed from the ground up for the unique needs of our customers. GK commercial products can be found on almost every combat and tactical vehicle in the US fleet, irrespective of service branch or application; we are the OEM supplier to the Stryker, Bradley and FMTV programs. Outside of North America, our products can be found on the Husky TSV (UK), The Bushmaster (Australia) and the Bronco (Singapore), among others. Our acquisition in 2009 of Active Shock, Incorporated provided us with semi-active damping and variable ride height control that has proven superior to any competing system or technology. We have industry-leading dynamic range and have successfully demonstrated a 50+% decrease in vehicle operating cost through the improved vehicle dynamics our systems provide. Active Shock semi-active systems from GK get our ultimate customers to their mission objectives faster and more safely than anything else.
