Gemini Builders Information

Jim McWhirter launched his construction career in 1980. Since then he has designed and built over 900 homes in both metro and rural areas of Oklahoma. The company name Gemini was born because his wife Lisa often started her sentences with Jim and I. In addition, the company was named for the astrological symbol. Gemini is the sign of the twins, and McWhirters business includes two components: construction, both residential and commercial, and real estate sales. Remax Gemini was branded in 2011 after operating as Gemini Realtors since 1993. All real estate professionals are exclusively trained by Gemini. Besides construction and real estate, McWhirter has also experienced success in real estate development. His eleventh project, Castle Gate, is a wooded 1/2 acre lot development on east Reno that is gated and includes city water. Jims current project is developing another assisted living community in Edmond. The Gemini headquarters for Gemini Builders, Remax Gemini, and McWhirter Developments is located at 3101 Tinker Diagonal on the north side of I-40. Josh began working with Gemini Builders in the summer before entering the ninth grade. I started at the bottom, picking up the trash at job sites. A stand-out athlete in high school and college, Josh graduated from Oklahoma Christian University in April 2000 after attending on a baseball scholarship. I have worked practically every stage of construction from foundations to framing cabinetry and trim for the past 12+ years. Josh became an Oklahoma State Certified Builder in 2004 and has worked diligently, assisting his clients through the custom home building arena. He is also a successful spec home builder as well as large-scale remodeler. According to his peers, Joshs gift is his keen eye for detail. I always reassure our customers that we do not put anything in their home that we wouldnt have in ours.
