GEMERA Information

GEMERA (Grupo de Empresas Mineras Exploradoras de la República Argentina) is the national association that represents Argentina’s mining exploration companies. Founded in 1993, it serves as a unified voice for junior and emerging exploration firms, advocating for their interests and connecting local and national initiatives in the mining sector . GEMERA’s mission is to promote the sustainable development of the country’s mining industry  by fostering responsible exploration practices and working with communities to strengthen the social license for projects . The organization actively promotes investment in exploration so that new projects become engines of economic growth  and champions favorable industry policies to ensure a thriving, responsible exploration ecosystem . Through these efforts, GEMERA adds value to its members by providing industry leadership and collaboration that benefit both member companies and local communities, strengthening Argentina’s broader mining ecosystem.
