Established in 1998, Craggy Range is a family-owned winery situated in the shadow of the spectacular Te Mata Peak in the premium wine-growing area of Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. With an unrelenting focus on quality, Craggy Range produces a collection of iconic wines from their exceptional estates in Hawke's Bay, Martinborough, and Marlborough. When Craggy Range owners Terry and Mary Peabody first set out to start a winery with world class aspirations, their search quickly brought them to New Zealand. Looking down from Te Mata Peak onto the land where Craggy Range now stands, they were clear that they wanted to create a winery and an experience which truly evoked the unique landscapes and heritage of the region. To ensure a firm commitment, Terry Peabody honoured the original promise of leaving a legacy for the family still to come and established a 1000 year trust, meaning the winery can never be sold. What has followed in the last 20 or so years has been the development of an iconic New Zealand winery which has never lost sight of its sense of place, or its family ties.

Saint Clair Family Estate is owned by Neal and Judy Ibbotson, viticulture pioneers in Marlborough since 1978. Grapes were originally supplied to local wine companies; however a desire to extend the quality achieved in the vineyard through to the finished wine led to the establishment of Saint Clair Family Estate in 1994. The Saint Clair name originates from the vineyard property, first settled by the Sinclair family. Pioneer James Sinclair built one of the first homes in Blenheim and was closely associated with the early development of the town. Over time the name of the property reverted to the original Saint Clair. The company's mission is to create world-class wines that exceed their customers every expectation. Neal Ibbotson combines his extensive viticultural expertise plus Marlborough’s mix of climate and soils with the talent of one of New Zealand’s leading winemaking teams. From 1994 when wines from the first vintage all won medals including gold, the name Saint Clair has been synonymous with quality and its award-winning record continues today.

The organisation is a Certified B Corporation, net carbonzero certified (ISO 14064), and certified sustainable (ISO 14001) from vineyard to port of shipment. Despite our global reach, we remain a close-knit team of just 18 people who are passionate about making exceptional wine. By overseeing every stage of production from vineyard to bottle, all onsite at our own winery, we maintain complete control over quality, consistency and environmental stewardship. The company’s philosophy starts in the vineyard by limiting grapes to growing on only two or three canes, rather than the usual four. The winemaking process is minimal to ensure each wine is an authentic representation of both the variety and the place it was grown, with a strong focus on expression, texture and enjoyment.
