Companies that have billions of dollars worth of assets must have an accurate representation of these assets in their Enterprise Asset Management system. Field Data Collection and Asset Verification are means to identify and validate asset locations, attributes, and operating conditions. Having complete and accurate data prevents negative financial impacts from events such as catastrophic equipment failures causing plant-shut shutdowns, inaccurate valuation of plants in mergers and acquisitions, or employee safety risks due to poor maintenance practices. GDT has extensive data collection experience in plants, mines, railways, and material warehouses.
